Welcome to the UMAMI website. By accessing or using this website, placing an online order, purchasing a gift card, or making a reservation, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

website Use

UMAMI is an Indigenous-owned restaurant located on the territory of Six Nations of the Grand River, Ontario. These Terms govern your use of our website and the services we provide through it.

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not interfere with its operation or the experience of other guests. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the website or its services without notice.

ONLINE ORDERING

Online ordering is provided through our third-party ordering platform. Menu items, availability, pricing, and estimated preparation times may change without notice. While we strive for accuracy, occasional errors may occur. We reserve the right to correct pricing or menu errors and to cancel or modify orders when necessary. If payment has already been processed, any applicable refund will be issued.

Delivery is offered within designated service areas using UMAMI's own delivery team. Estimated delivery times are provided for convenience and are not guaranteed. Factors including weather, traffic, and kitchen volume may affect delivery. Risk of loss transfers to the guest upon delivery to the agreed location.

RESERVATIONS

Reservations are managed through our third-party booking platform. Reservation times are estimates and may occasionally be affected by service demands. Guests arriving significantly late (after the 10-minute grace period) may have their reservation released to accommodate other guests. Large parties or private bookings may be subject to separate terms.

Allergies & Dietary Information

We make every effort to accommodate dietary preferences and food allergies. However, our kitchen prepares ingredients containing common allergens, including peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, soy, wheat, sesame, shellfish, fish, and gluten. We cannot guarantee that any item is completely free from cross-contact. Guests with severe allergies should notify our staff before ordering.

Private Events

Private events are subject to separate booking agreements, including deposits, cancellation policies, and minimum spending requirements where applicable.

All content on this website—including photographs, graphics, logos, branding, menus, written content, and design—is the property of UMAMI or its licensors and may not be reproduced without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UMAMI shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or our online services. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

Our website may contain links to third-party services, including reservation platforms, payment processors, or social media platforms. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or policies of third-party websites.

These Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of Canada and the Province of Ontario, as applicable, while recognizing that UMAMI operates on the territory of Six Nations of the Grand River. Any dispute shall be brought before a court or tribunal of competent jurisdiction.
