FOUNDING STORY
UMAMI was founded by Shelby Montour-Huff to bring an elevated dining experience home to Six Nations. We strive to create a space rooted in hospitality, community, and care. Inspired by a family legacy of service, we exist to create a place where local guests and visitors alike feel valued, nourished, and eager to return.


CULINARY PHILOSOPHY
Designed by Chef Jacob Hoskins of the Miawpukek Nation, the menu draws inspiration from pan-Asian culinary traditions while honouring the values and spirit of the community we call home. Every dish is prepared with intention, balancing bold flavour, quality ingredients, and thoughtful craftsmanship to make exceptional dining an everyday experience. We are a scratch kitchen and source our ingredients locally.
